CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION PROGRAMME
by Katernyak Ihor - Monday, 11 July 2011, 10:09 pm

UARNet (Ukrainian academic research network) and UDL (Ukrainian Distance Learning) System initiate process to develop idea and build eligible Ukraine-Poland-Belorus consortium for project http://www.pl-by-ua.eu/:  integrated projects, where each partner carries out a part of the activities of the joint project on its own territory.

The specific objectives of this Call for Proposals where we could take part are following:

Measure 1.1. Better conditions for entrepreneurship

Measure 1.1 aims at improving the conditions for business development. Improvement of the quality and accessibility of infrastructure, including new technologies infrastructure, contributes to increasing the area‟s investment attractiveness, for both internal and external investors. SME development, new technologies, improvement of cooperation between research and business institutions.

Measure 1.2. Tourism development

The main goal of Measure 1.2 is to improve and fully utilise the tourist potential of the region. The Programme Area has potential for the development of tourism, including agro-tourism, due to various natural environmental conditions and cultural heritage objects, but the tourist infrastructure is requires improvement. Therefore, the support will focus on the development of tourist infrastructure and services. Measure 1.2 will also promote soft-type activities targeting, among others: regional promotion, tourism and agro-tourism development, and the protection of cultural heritage.

Measure 3.1. Regional and local cross-border cooperation capacity building

It is expected to develop as a result of the creation of institutional forms of cross-border cooperation. Information exchange, experience sharing and networking cooperation will be promoted, including internet-based projects. Cooperation among public institutions, especially territorial self-governments, is of high importance, particularly in the area of strategic and spatial planning. Additionally it is planned to support the development and use of information and communication technologies for cross-border cooperation.

In this moment our project idea is:

1.the development of modern communication infrastructure for mutual integration of the European and Ukrainian  informational and computational capabilities. The arrangement of the high-speed data communication will open new horizons for scientists and reaserchers for solution of novel capacious problems of modern physics, astronomy, biology, cosmos and environmental investigations. Produced in the process of project implementation experience and technical skills allows the members of the consortium  effectively to modernize and optimize own data communication nets

2. improvement of cooperation between research and SMEs. Probely we can thinking about some virtuale LAB, innovation system, business incubators.

We need partner in cross-border regions of Poland

by Katernyak Ihor - Monday, 11 July 2011, 10:08 pm

On May 11-12, 2011 the researchers from Ukraine, Denmark, France and Poland will meet in Lviv to discuss the technical aspects of the proposed scientific ideas for participation in the EU 7th Framework Programme on Research and Technology Development (FP7).

The aim of a two-day networking meeting is to establish personal contacts and discuss potential scientific cooperation between European and Ukrainian organisations for building International Research Consortia for participation in FP7. The representatives of scientific organisations and innovative Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will hold technical discussions of 6 specific research projects in fields of health, nanotechnologies and energy-saving. The specific attention will be paid to the EU-Ukraine S&T cooperation in nanomaterials and nanotechnology.

The meeting is organised by the EU-funded project “Joint Support Office for Enhancing Ukraine’s Integration into the European Research Area (JSO-ERA)” in cooperation with the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Lviv Institute of Management.

The experienced experts of the JSO-ERA project will provide the participants with detailed information on the FP7 general rules of consortia creation, conclusion of consortium agreement, legal and financial aspects, intellectual property rights, project management, and accountability.
